ADMISSION NOTICE FOR TWO YEARS B.P.ED COURSE: 2022-2024

ADMISSION NOTICE

Online application are invited from the eligible female candidates for admission in B.P.Ed course for the session 2022-2024 (Two years course) at State Institute of Physical Education for Women, Hastings House, Alipore,  Kolkata – 27, affiliated by Calcutta University and recognized by NCTE. As per the Govt. guideline the entire Admission Test will be conducted through Online Mode.

N.B:- To attend the online admission test the candidates must have a smart phone or Laptop and high speed network connectivity.  With these, the candidate must be familiar with the basic knowledge of ICT. The college authority will not be liable for any problem related with network connectivity or technological errors during the conduction of the online admission test. To get admission in the college the candidate must have taken the full vaccination doses against COVID-19 (The certificate has to be produce at the time of admission). 

Intake capacity – 30 [Subject to qualify the entrance test].

Eligibility Criteria – As per NCTE norms:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District/School Competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.

                                                              Or

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with 45% marks.

                                                             Or

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as compulsory/elective subject.

                                                             Or

  • Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and having participated in National/Inter University/State competitions or secured 1st , 2nd or 3rd position in Inter College/Inter-Zonal/District/School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.

                                                             Or

  • Bachelor’s degree with participation in International competitions or secured 1st , 2nd or 3rd position in National/Inter-University competition in sports and games as recognized by respective federations/AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.

                                                             Or

  • Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidates i.e. trained physical education teachers/coaches).
  • The relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and in the reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC shall be as per the rules of the State Government.
  • The age of the candidate should be 21 years to 30 years as on 01-07-2022 (Must born between 1.7.1992  to  1.7.2001).
  • Reservation of seats: As per rules of Govt. of West Bengal.
  • Starting date of Online Form fill up: 01.09.2022.
  • Closing date of Online Form fill up: 12.09.2022.
  • List of the selected candidate for appearing Admission Test will be published on 13.09.2022 at college website.
  • Date of Online Admission Test: 16.09.2022.
  • Date of publication of list of provisionally selected candidates for admission: 19.09.2022 at college website.
  • Date of Admission for provisionally selected candidate in B.P.Ed course:  20.09.2022 to 22.09.2022.
  • The entire Admission Test for B.P.Ed course will be conducted through online as per Govt. guideline.
  • To attend the online admission test candidate must have a smart phone or a laptop with high speed internet connectivity.
  • Eligible candidate must submit the soft copy of all testimonials (i) Madhyamik Admit Card for age proof (ii) Madhyamik Mark Sheet         (iii)  Graduation Pass Mark sheet,  (iv) Highest Sports Participation Certificate, and (v) Caste Certificate, (if applicable) during fill up the admission form online in the specific upload area.
  • After submission of online application successfully the candidates is instructed to send a message by writing her name and application ID on official WhatsApp No 8653305508. After then follow the instruction given in the college official WhatsApp group. 
  • Preparation of three Fitness Video Clippings:
  • Candidates are instructed to prepare three fitness video clippings of her own performance on (i) 1 min Bent Knee Sit-ups, (ii) Standing Broad Jump, and (iii) 10m x 4 Shuttle Run. Please watch carefully “How to Prepare Fitness Videos?”  by clicking the link given here. Then follow the same procedure and prepare your fitness video clippings. Submit these three video clippings on the 8653305508 with your name and application ID.
  • Submission of the three fitness videos clippings in College Official Whatsapp group is a must criterion. The last date of submission of three fitness video clippings in the college Whatsapp group is 12.09.2022. Video clippings submitted after the last date will not be considered for admission test.    

How to prepare Fitness Video?

  •  Submit your videos on 8653305508 individually.
  •  Instruction to prepare the Fitness Videos:
  • 1 min Bent Knee Sit-ups - keep your hands behind the head and allow a partner to hold your feet (follow the procedure of AAHPER Youth Physical Fitness Test). Don’t let your hand slipped out from your head. You have to touch your knee by your chest every time when you uplift your body and your head should touch on the ground when you back to the lying position. Follow the procedure shown in the how to prepare fitness video. Count how many correct sit-ups you perform during 1 min period.  
  • Standing Broad Jump- Stand behind a clear marked starting line and jump with your both fit. Use a tape to show the measurement in video. Take the measurement from the starting line to where the both legs touched the ground first (follow the procedure of AAHPER Youth Physical Fitness Test). Take the measurement in cm or feet & inches.
  • 10m x 4 Shuttle Run- Mark two clear line of 10 meter distance. Keep two blocks behind the far line. Start running from the starting line. Run as fast as possible and bring two blocks from the far line and kept it behind the starting line. Show the distance between the two lines in video by the measuring tape and complete the test following the procedure mentioned in the AAHPER Youth Physical Fitness Test. Take the time in seconds as score.
  • Candidate should submit the 3 video clippings on No: 8653305508 along with her Name and Application ID No within 12.09.2022. Submission of Fitness videos of the candidate to this number is a must criterion.

How to prepare Fitness Video?  Submit your videos on 8653305508.

  • Candidate will be communicating by the admission test through their registered Gmail and WhatsApp which she has mentioned during the fill up of the admission Form. The Whatsapp No mentioned in Application Form should be the same when she will send the request to add herself in the official college WhatsApp group.
  • The examination (Personality Test/Viva voce) will be conducted through video conferencing system using Google Meet. Students must have the basic knowledge of handling these apps in their smart phone or in laptop.
  •  The Personality test/Viva-voce will start from the 10.00 AM onward on Admission Test date - 16.09.2022. The link will be sent to the candidate by Official WhatsApp group and she must be ready to appear to the test by wearing proper dress.
  • All corresponding regarding admission in B.P.Ed course 2022-24 will be made through the candidate’s registered Gmail account & Official WhatsApp Group of the college. No correspondence will be made by any other means. Candidates are requested to follow her Gmail account and Official Whatsapp Group of the college every day.
  • All the candidates are hereby informed that the B.P.Ed course is a fully residential course and candidate have to face vigorous/ hard physical training and conditioning throughout the two years. Therefore they must be medically fit and must have enough physical fitness. Student must take care about this matter before fill up the Form for admission in this course. College authority will not bear any responsibility for any kind of physical injuries or infirmities occur during the entire course period. The student has to discontinue the course any time when she will be found physically unfit for continuing the course due to any kind of her injury or illness.
